One defined product type at launch
Listsy is built around a specific launch product: a single transparent PNG sold as a digital download. That scope lets the workflow check the file, package, images, and copy against one consistent set of facts.
A selected design does not become a vague folder of outputs. It becomes one 3000 by 3000 pixel, 300 DPI target, RGBA PNG with real transparency, plus the listing assets needed to place that product in an Etsy draft.

The brief gives the artwork a job
A useful brief names the subject, visual style, exact wording, colors, and intended buyer or use. Listsy uses those decisions to create isolated artwork options that can be processed into a transparent product file.
For example: “A hand-drawn garden-club badge for hobby gardeners, with the words Grow Something Good in cream lettering, forest green leaves, and no background.” The selected spelling, colors, and intended use become reference points for the product file, gallery, and copy.

Set the product direction
Describe the subject, mood, text, colors, and buyer. Include spelling and capitalization that must not change.

Choose an artwork count
Request 1, 3, 5, or 10 candidates based on how much variation you want to review.

Review the candidates
Reject broken composition, unreadable text, screenshots, contact sheets, and mockups that are not isolated product artwork.

Select the designs worth producing
Each selected candidate becomes its own product variant with separate files, listing media, copy, draft, and QA record.
Selection prevents one weak option from becoming a product
Generated options are proposals, not finished inventory. You decide which ones are commercially clear, legible, and appropriate for your shop. Listsy then processes only the selected designs.
The automated candidate review can flag visibly broken artwork, but it does not decide whether a design fits your brand, copies another seller, uses protected material, or serves real demand. Those judgments stay with you.

- Compare the idea with your existing shop rather than chasing a broad trend.

The final file controls the downstream claims
Once a design becomes a final PNG, Listsy treats the file as the source of production truth. Listing-image QA compares the gallery scenes with that PNG. The copy validator compares format and quantity claims with the package manifest.
This matters because a polished description can still be wrong. If the ZIP contains only a PNG, the description cannot call it an SVG, an editable Canva file, or a multi-file bundle.

Generation does not settle the business questions
Listsy can produce and check artifacts. It cannot tell you that a niche has room for another product, that a keyword has low competition, or that Etsy will accept and rank a listing.
Use the generator after you have a product direction, not as a substitute for customer knowledge. The strongest brief comes from understanding what a buyer needs and how your shop can answer it honestly.
